Many IRG majors seek out internships during their time at the University of Texas at Austin.  Some find placements in Austin, while others intern in other US cities or even internationally.   If you’re interested in finding an internship, here are some quick steps to get started:

The UT Office of Undergraduate Research works to engage students in the research and creative activity of the university.

Career and Graduate School 

There are many resources on campus to help you take the next step towards career or graduate school.  

Undergraduate Career Readiness Plan: a guide that includes action items for each year. This is not an all-inclusive list, and it is not necessary to do everything on the guide to be successful. 

Government and IRG Career Pathways Resource: Self paced modules to support you in marketing your skills as an IRG major, plus announcements about job and internship opportunities for IRG majors 

Liberal Arts Career Services provides a online resources, career coaching, recruiting, and career education services to help you prepare for whatever you want to do in the future.

Graduate School Coaching - UT Austin provides extensive graduate school advising and preparation for all students. Offices across campus are available to assist you.
