Blue Star Project Deputy Field Organizers are the face of the Leigh Bailey Campaign and Battleground Texas, working to advance and grow the grassroots movement to make the Lone Star State count. 

Their primary responsibility is voter contact, including daily shifts doing voter registration, door to door canvassing to persuade and motivate voters, and phone calling. 

Deputy Field Organizers should be high energy, outgoing, enthusiastic, and willing to spend many active hours outdoors interacting with voters. Deputy Field Organizers report directly to their Field Organizer or Regional Field Director depending on placement and will work closely with a top-tier legislative campaign. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Candidate must have a desire to learn and a willingness to receive feedback; 

• Candidates must have the ability to communicate with diverse communities and 

leaders; 

• Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours (including nights and 

weekends); 

• Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, experience meeting deadlines, and 

the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously; 

• Ideal candidate is fluent in the Spanish language; and 

• Ideal candidate is a registered Texas voter.
