Armstrong Building Products (ABP) has an opportunity available for a Retail Sales Executive covering the Texas area. Under the direction of the Vice President – Retail Sales, the position will responsible for managing the sales process with independent building material wholesalers & dealers to achieve or exceed budgeted sales volume & mix targets. 

Key Responsibilities: 

· Provide sales management for regional wholesale customers including developing the sales strategy, building relationships, and leveraging presence to increase sales 
· Responsible for planning, coordination, developing, implementing business plans and sales initiatives. 
· Collaborate with marketing, marketing communications, sales support and customer service functions within Armstrong 
· Development of wholesaler to deliver strategic marketing plan 
· Develops relationships at all levels and functions within customer organizations 
· Develop account management plans and strategy 
· Responsible for new product sales and promotions to drive mix improvement 
· Trains and develop wholesaler and dealer sales reps 
· Establishes and maintains key retail customer relationships 
· Mediates claim liability and manages prompt settlement. 
· Initiates merchandising changes and updates to dealer displays; makes recommendations and alterations to display planograms. 
· Identifies opportunities for mix changes based upon POS performance metrics such as GMROII and turns. 
· Improve Average Unit Value (AUV) over time thru incremental price attainment and mix improvement. 
· Manage promotional and travel expenses within assigned budgets. 
· Demonstrates understanding of products/service features and benefits 
· Maintains and applies technical knowledge 
· Demonstrates understanding of market/industry issues/trends 
· Demonstrates knowledge of customers and competition 
· Collects and organize account information in 
· Assumes responsibility for prospecting and generating leads to develop new accounts 
· Manages multiple priorities effectively; makes complex situations/information understandable and actionable. 
· Gathers information needed to fully understand problem or issue 
· Uncover and responds to customer needs 
This position requires up to 50% overnight travel.
