Two year role as a client analyst primarily responsible for client-facing performance reports. Will work in conjunction with a senior associate to report on client portfolios, actively monitor portfolios and allocations, and produce reports to keep the office and firm informed on assets under management, strategy performance, and account activity. 


 Generating, updating, and maintaining client performance reporting - performance of mutual funds, 
proprietary Atlantic Trust funds, alternative investments; asset allocation snapshots/transitions; total 
portfolio performance. 
o Internal systems, Bloomberg Terminal, and third-party sources for data gathering. 
o Internal systems and Excel for report generation, updating, and maintenance. 
 Monitor client asset allocations for adherence to investment policy statement, internal strategy. Rebalance allocations by buying/selling securities, when necessary. 
 General strategy performance reporting – periodic reports on internal and external strategies reported to senior leadership to track performance, assets under management, etc. 
 "One-off" presentations – typically a special request from a client. Previous examples include: specific industry/sector outlook, total account exposure to industry or sector, effect on deployment timing on security or portfolio return. 


 B.A. or B.S. degree. Accounting, finance, economics majors preferred. 
 Knowledge of MS Office Productivity suite – particularly Excel. 
 Quantitative reasoning and ability to work with and manipulate quantitative data. 
 Thorough attention to detail. Reports are directly client-facing.

Institutional Investor ranked research firms. Exposure to every asset class – traditional and alternative. 
Learn about the nuances and structure of each asset class, successful and unsuccessful strategies 
within each asset class (including unique and highly successful in-house MLP long-short hedge fund). 
 Develop skills with financial analysis tools: Daily use of Excel and Bloomberg Terminal, develop 
efficiency with and understanding of commands and formulas.
