Experience: The Healthy Community Collaborative is a program led by ATCIC in partnership with other organizations designed to expand housing options and provide an array of support services for individuals in Travis County who are experiencing chronic homelessness accompanied by significant behavioral health, medical, and/or substance abuse issues. The Peer Recovery Specialist will be an integral part of the treatment team based out of the integrated behavioral health clinic at Community First! Providing services for individuals within this community and potentially beyond. This position works under the direct supervision of the LPHA Team Lead at Community First, with input from the HCC Practice Manager, the Peer Specialist Program Manager, with latitude for independent judgement. Will perform Peer Recovery and support services for clients in the HCC program. Specifically, primary responsibility is to instill a sense of Recovery through skills training, instruction, modeling, advocating, positive feedback and shaping that will support and guide individuals in their own recovery A Peer Recovery Specialist may lead or co-facilitate groups or individual services providing training in mental health services, recovery, self-help, whole health, empowerment, socialization or recreation. The peer specialist will also play a key role in engaging individuals not yet open to services through ATCIC. This position must be filled by an individual who has been treated for a Behavioral Health Target Population diagnosis for at least 1 year, is advanced in his/her own recovery, and is willing and able to share their "Recovery Story" and personal experiences in a positive motivational manner. The ideal candidate will also have lived experience with homelessness as part of his/her recovery story and will have at least two years' experience in providing group and individual skills training in a mental health setting. This position requires the transportation of consumers in a personal and/or center vehicle. 

License/Certification: Peer Specialist Certification is preferred. Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record required.
