 Consumer Marketing Intern 
Builder Homesite, Inc. (BHI) is seeking an energetic and talented Marketing Intern with a desire to work in a consumer driven environment and contribute their skills towards marketing to and researching today’s home shoppers. Candidates should have particular interest in consumer psychology, marketing research, social marketing and engagement, with strong writing skills. This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours a week, beginning in mid-to-late February. 

Consumer Marketing Organization Background 
BHI’s consumer marketing group is focused on improving organizational and industry understanding of home shopper attitudes and behavior, while providing customers with tools and guidance to effectively reach, educate and positively influence current and potential home buyers about the many benefits of newly-built homes. Additionally, the group supports the company in branding BHI within the business community among recruiters and potential employees. 

The marketing team manages the following BHI business interests: 
• NewHomeSource TV: NHS TV is an HGTV-styled weekly program we produce in-house and air in 9 markets with the purpose of showcasing some of the top new home communities in each market and increasing sales and shopper traffic to builders; www.newhomesource.tv 
• New Home Shopper Insights: Our consumer research and insights business is an online based panel of voluntary home shoppers sharing their opinions with builders and home product manufacturers by answering specific surveys 

Responsibilities: 
• Consumer Research Support & Panel Moderation 
o Moderate unique home shopper research panel forum. Create interesting topics for forum dialogue as well as relevant poll questions and surveys 
o Help creating, managing and executing against a thematic content calendar to keep research panelists engaged and active in community 
o Conduct ad hoc market, competitive & industry research (primarily online) 
o Gather and organize 3rd party content from online and other media resources 
o Create topline research findings/summaries for marketing management 
• Copywriting 
o Create relevant educational online content and copy 
o Write marketing content for blogs and other social media applications 
o Post web content using various content management systems 
o Monitor metrics and engagement levels to determine effectiveness of activities 
• Administrative 
o Coordinate with internal departments and resources to respond quickly to 3rd party (agency, customer, advertisers, etc.) needs, requests and problems 
o Coordinate & Schedule Meetings w/ External Partners 
Qualifications: 
• Current student or recent grad in Marketing, Psychology, Consumer Research or related liberal arts field 
• Excellent writing and communication skills 
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel 
• Ability to conduct research using the Internet 
• Excels in rapidly learning and utilizing new technologies 
• Must be a self-starter
