ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program (Houston, TX), Application Deadline

Mon, June 1, 2015

In 2015, the ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program (CSJP) will mark its 18th year, exposing 70 elite college interns to the nonprofit sector and cultivating future community leaders. Since the Houston program began in 1998, the ExxonMobil Foundation has provided over $2.6 million in grants to Houston area nonprofit organizations through the CSJP. This program has placed more than 900 interns to a wide array of nonprofits enabling agencies to hire full-time college summer interns to provide essential services to the community.

Since this nationally recognized program began in New York in 1971, ExxonMobil has committed nearly $19 million to support over 7,600 internships in seven states. Undergraduate college students receive a paid internship introducing them to a variety of community service organizations and giving them practical experience related to their field of study. Additionally, ExxonMobil introduces college students to careers in the nonprofit industry and the importance of community service. Selected agencies receive crucial support during peak summer months from students viewed as future community leaders.

With the administrative management of Volunteer Houston, ExxonMobil will provide $2,750 grants to 70 nonprofit agencies to hire exceptionally qualified full-time college interns for eight-weeks during the summer to assist in providing essential services to the community.
