As a participant in our Claims Career Development Program, you will put your investigative and relationship management skills to work and fulfill Liberty Mutual’s mission of "helping people live safer, more secure lives." In this role, you will have a direct impact on our customers by helping them to recover from times of tremendous hardship. You will provide service to our policyholders by quickly and effectively resolving their claims or defending their interests when handling litigated cases. Through the 18 - 24 month development program, you will receive in-depth, specialized training and guidance from experienced Claims professionals in one of three areas (Property, Bodily Injury, or No Fault). Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive training program, one-on-one mentoring, on-the-job training, a "promote from within" culture, and a strong pay-for-performance compensation structure. Responsibilities: 

Participate in our development program to learn about the job and the company, and enhance your performance skills. Opportunity for performance based promotions during the 18 –24 month period. 
Develop the knowledge and skills needed to conduct thorough investigations 
Work on a practical application project as part of a team, focusing on local business problems.  
Present actionable recommendations for improvement to management. 
Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, legal, & medical professionals in writing and over the phone. 
Collect and analyze details and data to draw sound conclusions 
Under close supervision, confirms or denies coverage and liability and advises policyholders and claimants as to proper course of action.

Qualifications: 

0-2 years of professional experience 
Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Additional requirements map apply 
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal, analytical and organizational skills 
Demonstrated customer service and negation skills 
Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
