The Big Picture 
The HR intern will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the dynamic function of human resources and get a front row view of the inner workings of the backbone to any successful organization. The human resources intern will have an opportunity to work on several projects such as creating an HR online library, doing a cost/benefit project, and even own the planning of the annual company picnic. The person in this role will also get to take on special new projects such as being our Chatter Champion. This person will work under direct supervision and will be provided mentorship by the VP of HR. 

The Day to Day 

Plan company picnic: 
 Select location, vendors, food, games, etc 
 Work with VP, HR to negotiate contracts 
 Come up with creative ways to incorporate corporate culture with family members 
 Solicit help through subcommittee volunteers- delegate tasks and manage helpers 
 Communicate with employees about logistics and build a buzz 
Create HR Online Library: 
 Work with HR team members to ensure all relevant docs to employees are on Chatter and in Paylocity 
 Create ways for Paylocity self-service page can be used more like an Intranet 
 Create docs that are not currently available, such as FAQs, processes and procedures, etc. to be kept in Chatter and Paylocity 
 Solicit input from employee groups about forms or docs they would like to see on hatter and in Paylocity
Chatter Champion: 
 Create an online campaign through Chatter that informs employees about HR, policies, upcoming events, etc that markets HR in a positive light and creates fun around the office.  
 Create games with prizes, testing knowledge 
Cost/ Benefit Project: 
 Work with HR Managers and VP, HR to look at the idea of bringing an "advocate" for our health plan internally. 
 Evaluate cost of resource, time, and tools needed to do the job well 
 Evaluate ROI to employees

 Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
 Must have a keen attention to detail and a high commitment to quality 
 Must have strong creative abilities and understand how to present things that are visually pleasing 
 Must have a high energy level and a great attitude 
 Longer term interest in Human Resources preferred 
Required Education & Experience 
 Must be enrolled in fall semester at UT as a junior or senior and be in good academic standing 
 Must have high level Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint skills
