Commercial Banking Development Program 
Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking Group offers a multi-stage program suited to individuals that possess strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical abilities. The program incorporates both formal and on-the-job training to help you develop the skills required to successfully build and manage client relationships. 
Our clients are typically mid-sized companies that have annual revenues from $20 million up to $750 million. We serve companies from virtually every industry, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors, importers and service companies. We also have specialized teams with expertise in the beverage, food and agribusiness, technology, and waste and recycling industries as well as in heavy equipment dealers and investor real estate. 
Commercial Banking is Wells Fargo’s largest relationship business, with more than 130 Regional Commercial Banking Offices nationwide. We enjoy the largest market share of middle-market relationships among our national competitors. 
Your Role as a Commercial Banking Financial Analyst 
 Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a company’s business, industry, management team, financial condition and performance 
 Conduct in-depth industry research to identify key drivers, challenges, and trends that are most relevant to a company 
 Engage in creative thinking, situational assessment, and idea generation to prepare discussion materials that focus on issues impacting the company and prepare for client dialogue 
 Understand client needs and identify other Wells Fargo products and services that can help clients achieve their goals 
 Resolve client service needs and provide ongoing support for your team, including the evaluation of client financial performance and how this may change overall risk management and monitoring 
 Prepare underwriting memorandums outlining recommendations that meet borrower needs while minimizing repayment risk to the Bank 
 Understand and review legal documentation that outlines the terms and conditions of approved loans 
Commercial Banking Financial Analyst Program 
First Stage 
Initially, you will start in one of seven regional training locations in Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA; and Summit, NJ. During this stage of your development, you will receive both formal and on the job training from our Centralized Underwriting Group. Upon successful completion of this stage (typically within one year), you will transition to a Regional Commercial Banking Office (RCBO). The location of the RCBO will be determined during the offer process. Offers can be either for a specific metropolitan area or a specific Regional Commercial Banking Office. 
Second Stage 
Upon your transition to a Regional Commercial Banking Office, you will work alongside experienced commercial bankers to further develop your analytical, underwriting, sales and relationship management skills by actively participating in your team’s day-to-day client activities. 
Upon successful completion of the Commercial Banking Financial Analyst Program, you will be eligible to attend the Credit Management Training Program (CMTP). CMTP is a four-month, full-time, advanced credit and leadership training program based in San Francisco that is considered the premier wholesale banking development program in the industry. 
Minimum qualifications 
 A BA/BS degree in any major OR 1+ year’s work experience to include financial, credit or statistical analysis, and/or statement spreading 
 Strong analytical skills 
 Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
 Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and work in a deadline-driven environment 
 A high level of initiative, accountability, and attention to details 
 Proficient with Microsoft Office®, including Excel and Word 

Preferred qualifications 
 Bachelor’s degree candidate with an expected graduation in December 2015 or May/June 2016. 
 Proven leadership, self-motivation and success through internships, part-time or full-time work, and/or extracurricular activities
