Plan II Honors Graduation

CEREMONY:

The Plan II Commencement Ceremony takes place at the end of every Spring semester (there is no Fall Plan II graduation ceremony). The 2018 ceremony will take place in Hogg Memorial Auditorium, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19th, 2018. Doors will open for first-come, first-served seating at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are required (see below).

The Plan II ceremony lasts approximately two hours.

Graduates are required to arrive for staging preparation at 8:00 a.m. in FAC 21. Detailed instructions for graduates have been sent to them via email.

TICKETS:

Tickets are required to attend the Plan II Commencement Ceremony. Graduating seniors do NOT need a ticket for the ceremony, however, because seating is limited, all guests must have a ticket to enter the Hogg Memorial Auditorium. Each graduate is guaranteed up to six tickets for guests during the initial ticket pick-up period. After the initial period, any remaining tickets will be released on a first-come, first-served basis. Instructions about ticket pick-up for guests will be emailed to seniors in late March; graduates should pick up tickets at the Plan II office and distribute them to their guests.

RECEPTION:

We would like to invite each of you to our commencement reception honoring our Plan II graduates immediately following this ceremony. Students, parents, and faculty can relax and greet one another over a light brunch buffet. 

The reception will be in the Ballroom of the Texas Union, just a few steps away from Hogg Auditorium.

SECURITY:

Please note that all commencement venues will be enforcing a restriction on any bags bigger than 12x12". More information about this restriction can be found here.

PARKING: 

Most UT parking garages are free on Commencement Saturday. 

The San Antonio Parking Garage (24th and San Antonio) is the closest parking to the Hogg Memorial Auditorium.

There will be limited Disabled Parking in front of the Hogg Memorial Auditorium for persons with state-issued handicapped permits. Guests with mobility impairment may also be dropped off at the front of Hogg Memorial Auditorium.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
