South Asia Seminar Series Addresses Divide Between Past and Present

The South Asia Institute presents a seminar titled "Against the Grain: Ancient Roots and Modern Branches."

The talk examinie the importance of bridging the supposed divide between the study of the past and the present. One important aspect for everyone who works with South Asia is the increasing importance of contemporary developments, but so is the role of the past in the consideration of the present.
