Uploading Course Syllabi and CVs (House Bill 2504)
Undergraduate course syllabi and instructor-of-record CVs must be uploaded to the Access Syllabi and CVs System beginning the first day of classes and no later seven days after the first day of classes every semester. Instructions are here. Policies and procedures are on the Provost's website at: www.utexas.edu/provost/planning/accountability/hb_2504. Test Scanning Services: Basic scantron scanning services free of charge for instructors. Located in GSB 2.130.

Visiting Scholars
The department is committed to and supportive of the mission of educational exchange. Chair approval is required prior to invitation. If a visiting scholar's self, home institution or other external agency is not paying for their visa and/or ISSS (International Student & Scholar Services) fees, as applicable, by payment to the department, the faculty sponsor will be responsible for the fee(s) from their department accounts. The same applies to other, extraordinary expenses required by scholars, such as computer equipment and software. More visa information can be found here. The ISSS fee schedule can be found here. Library Copies: It is generally recommended that instructors make copies of all materials for their courses available free of charge in the library, esp. the PCL. Please contact Library Copier Services for assistance.
Library Proxy Form: Often faculty will need teaching assistants or, in a pinch, office student workers to check out or renew items in the library on their behalf. Students must be authorized prior to pick-up. The Proxy Authorization form is available online.
UT Libraries offers class visits for tutorials on research tailored to your class, as well as support for faculty in conjunction with the Center for Teaching and Learning. The Sociology library contact is Carolyn Cunningham.
