Liberal Arts Career Services

Pre-Law Events

Each semester, the Liberal Arts Career Services organizes numerous presentations to help UT students learn more about the legal profession. These workshops are designed to help students make informed decisions about pursuing law school.

Events are open to current UT students (of all majors) and alumni, unless otherwise stated. As a professional courtesy, if your plans change and you are unable to attend, please notify us of your cancellation before the event begins as space may be limited at these workshops.

UT LAW FAIR | OCT. 23, 2018 from 10:00 am to 2:00pm

UT's Law Fair is one of the largest school-sponsored law fairs in the nation. The Law Fair provides attendees with the opportunity to interact with 100+ law school admissions professionals from a variety of schools in a centralized setting. Whether your goal is to gather information about prospective law schools or connect with specific law school admissions professionals, UT's Law Fair is your opportunity to gain in-depth information about law schools that you can use to evaluate their programs. Offered only in the Fall, the Law Fair allows applicants to interact with admissions representatives, pick up brochures and applications, collect information about each program's admissions and financial aid process, and learn more about specific law school programs. It is very possible that the admissions representative that you meet at the Law Fair will be the same person who may read your application down the road.

UT Law Fair is free and open to the public. No RSVP is needed. Plan to bring a pen, notepad and your questions about law schools and their specific programs. Business casual dress is recommended.

Download the 2018 UT Law Fair map and index here to explore the location of participating law schools.

AccessLex Institute, which offers financial education programming and resources, will also be available to answer questions about financing your legal education.
