Alumni Tailgate & Meet the Director
The first Plan II Alumni Tailgate took place in 2018 for the UT v. Baylor football home game. The tradition continued in 2019 and 2021. We hope to continue this an annual tradition, bringing Plan II alumni together each fall for one home game. Our 2024 Plan II Alumni Tailgate will be on November 9 in the Plan II Office! Each semester, the Joynes Reading Room hosts a speaker series of prominent writers who read from their works and share their experiences as writers with the audience. This speaker series is always free and open to the public. Check the link below for upcoming speakers.

Every November and April, Plan II seniors present their thesis research in a series of oral presentations. Topics range widely, from the humanities and fine arts to business, science, sustainability, healthcare, and more. Symposium is always open the public, and we encourage any local alumni to come support current students as they complete their capstone project in Plan II.
