Religion in Public

Please join the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Texas at Austin for the next lecture in the "Religion in Public" series. Professor Azfar Moin will discuss the overlooked history of Islam that lies behind the famous monument now known as the “Taj Mahal.”


The event will take place Wednesday, February 13 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Blanton Café. There will be Alevi-Bektashi music from Turkey performed by TekSaz, followed by the lecture at 6 pm. Pizza and beverages will be available for purchase at 5:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public.


Paid parking is available at Brazos Garage, located at 210 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, as well as nearby street parking.
