Academic Excellence Award

Students that receive a Liberal Arts Academic Excellence Award will be matched with one of COLA's many endowed scholarships. Awards are based on both academic merit and financal need.   Studnets should apply via the COLA Common Scholarship Application in the Longhorn Awards & Student Scholarship Opportunities (LASSO) portal starting the spring of their Freshman year.  The COLA Common Scholarship Application opens at the beginning of the spring semester. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Only currently enrolled Liberal Arts undergraduates at The University of Texas at Austin may apply.
  • Applicants must have a minimum in-residence UT GPA of 3.25 and 12 hours completed in-residence.

Additional Information:

  • The scholarship pays out in the fall and spring of the next academic year.
  • Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment in both the fall and spring of the award disbursement year.
