Geraldine Hill Styles Frankin County Scholarship

Apply for this scholarship using the "COLA Common Scholarship Application".  The common application opens at the beginning of each spring semester in the Longhorn Awards & Student Scholarship Opportunities (LASSO) system.  To access the COLA Common Scholarship Application, go to LASSO and click on "Student Log In"

Scholarship for COLA majors who are from Camp, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Red River, Titus, Upshur or Wood County, Texas.  Awards are based on academic merit and financial need. Studnets can apply through the COLA Common Scholarship Application in the Longhorn Awards & Student Scholarship Opportunities (LASSO) portal. The COLA Common Scholarship Application opens at the beginning of the spring semester. 

Application Instructions

  • Apply via the COLA Common Scholarship Application in the LASSO portal
  • If eligible to apply, the application will appear in your LASSO account
  • Application opens January 12, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. and closes March 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently enrolled Liberal Arts undergraduate at The University of Texas at Austin
  • Minimum in-residence UT GPA of 3.25
  • At least 12 in-residence credit hours completed
  • COLA majors from Camp, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Red River, Titus, Upshur or Wood County, Texas.
  • Students graduating May 2026 are not eligible to apply.

Additional Information

  • Scholarship funds are disbursed in the fall and spring of the following academic year
  • Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment during both semesters of the award year
