Liberal Arts Undergraduate Research Awards

For Liberal Arts students conducting research projects or traveling to research conferences.

Scholarship Information:

• Period: Competition is held at the beginning of each long semester
• Amount of awards:  maximum $1,000

Scholarship Restrictions:

• For undergraduate students currently enrolled in Liberal Arts with at least one semester completed in the College.
• Completion of a minimum of 15 hours of coursework in residence, at time of application.
• UT-Austin GPA of at least 3.00
• Degree holders will not be considered for this award.

Other Requirements:

• A description of your research or research conference participation
• One letter of recommendation from your advising UT faculty member
• IRB approval as necessary (if awarded)
• A thank you letter will be required, if awarded

IMPORTANT:

• Application opens in LASSO on the first class day of the fall and spring semester.
• Recipients must be enrolled full-time at UT.
• Award winners will be selected by the College Scholarship Committee and notified the semester they apply.
