McReynolds and Kirkpatrick Memorial Awards in Pre-Medical Studies
For Liberal Arts students pursuing a pre-medical sequence of courses. Awards based on academic merit and financial need and the competition is held at the beginning of each spring semester.
Scholarship Information:
- Amount of award: varies between $2000 - $2500.
- Multiple awards are made each year.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Only currently enrolled Liberal Arts undergraduates at The University of Texas at Austin may apply.
- Applicants must have a minimum overall in-residence UT GPA of 3.25 and 12 hours completed in-residence.
- Applicants must have the pre-medical advising code (14 or 17).
Additional Information:
- The application will open on the first class day of the spring semester in the Longhorn Awards & Student Scholarship Opportunities (LASSO) portal.
- The scholarship pays out in the fall and spring of the next academic year.
- Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment in both the fall and spring of the award disbursement year.
- Award winners will be selected by the College Scholarship Committee and announced by the end of the spring semester.
- Degree holders will not be considered for this award.
