The Allison McCarty Scholarship
Each spring, Liberal Arts Council, with generous help from the College of Liberal Arts offers a travel scholarship to commuter students to help offset the costs of gas, parking, and rideshare services for students. This scholarship was created in memory of Allison McCarty, a dedicated commuter student who served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Liberator, a member of the Liberal Arts Council executive board, a STA writer for Afterglow, a radio host for KVRX and, above all else, an amazing friend. The award winner is selected by members from Liberal Arts Council.
